The Story Behind WTHID

Founded in 2018 by Savannah Jones, Where The Heart Is Designs began with a simple idea: to create spaces that feel like home. What started in a garage has grown into a 7,500+ square-foot warehouse with a full-time team, a moving crew, and projects that span across North Texas.

Our signature style is organic modern with a touch of western which reflects Fort Worth’s character while offering timeless comfort and beauty. From staging homes and designing interiors to working with builders, business owners, and even professional athletes, our team blends creativity and responsibility to deliver spaces that inspire.

Featured on HGTV’s My Lottery Dream Home and A&E’s Zombie House Flipping, we’ve been recognized nationally, but our roots remain firmly in our community. We are proud to serve Tarrant and Parker Counties with heart, integrity, and a commitment to helping people feel at home.

In Savannah’s Words

In 2018, everything changed for me. After the birth of my daughter, I felt a pull to create a new path, one that was meaningful, creative, and aligned with the life I wanted for my family. I had spent years in the corporate automotive world, but when it came time to return, I knew my heart wasn’t in it. Instead, I wanted to build something of my own, something that combined my love for home, design, and people.

I enrolled at the New York Institute of Art and Design, where I studied Home Staging and Interior Design, and in 2019 I officially launched Where The Heart Is Designs. What started small quickly grew, in 2020, I landed my first full staging project with a local builder, and from there, opportunities began to multiply.

Those early days looked very different from today. I started by storing furniture in my garage, personally loading and installing every piece, determined to make each project successful. Over time, the business grew beyond what I imagined: now we operate out of a 7,500+ square-foot warehouse, with a full-time moving staff and our own box truck.

Along the way, the interior design side of the business blossomed. I’ve been fortunate to work with amazing clients, from professional athletes to large commercial spaces and countless beautiful homes. My work has even been featured on national platforms, including designing three homes on HGTV’s My Lottery Dream Home in DFW and a full season of A&E’s Zombie House Flipping – Fort Worth.

Through it all, my design philosophy has remained rooted in what feels authentic to me and to Fort Worth: organic modern design with a touch of western soul. It’s a style that balances warmth, function, and sophistication, while honoring the unique character of Texas living which is why it is our signature style.

Today, as a business owner, designer, wife, and mother of three, I’m proud of how far this journey has come. Where The Heart Is Designs is more than a company, it’s a reflection of my heart, my family, and my belief that the spaces we live in should tell our story.

Because at the end of the day, it’s simple: home is where the heart is.

"I am the owner and Lead Designer at Where The Heart Is Designs. I founded this company in 2018 purely out of a passion for all things home design and a joy for helping others. I am a mom of three, I'm married to my high school sweetheart, and I enjoy doing anything creative. I am a 6th generation Texan, so you could say my Lone Star roots run deep. Every day that I wake up doing what I love, I realize how truly blessed I am to have had the countless clients achieve their #homegoals, and to have the opportunity to have built several meaningful relationships along the way.

Here at Where The Heart Is Designs, our team is passionate about bringing our clients' dreams to life; whether that be by styling their space or staging their vacant home for potential homebuyers! We love what we do and our passion and skill is reflected in every project.Wehere The Heart Is Designs was born in Fort Worth, Texas and we have no plans of leaving our amazing DFW community. Hey y’all, I’m Rachel! I was born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas, with a passion for interiors, a love of travel, and a closet full of boots to prove it!

After high school, I pursued a degree in Kinesiology with a minor in Psychology at Texas Tech University, originally planning to go into physical therapy. Somewhere along the way, I found myself way more interested in mood boards than muscle diagrams, and interior design quickly became more than just a hobby.

Outside of work, I’m either planning my next getaway, keeping up with the latest fashion trends, or spending time with my best friends. Whether it’s a weekend trip or a spontaneous night out with the people I love most, I’m all about making timeless memories.

Now, I get to spend my time helping clients create spaces that feel intentional and personal. The opportunity to shape how people experience their spaces really excites me, making every project a fun and rewarding challenge. Getting to do what I love while being part of the Where The Heart Is team has been nothing short of a dream. I am extremely blessed to have these experiences here and look forward to continuing to grow as a designer!

Tyler

Hey y’all! I’m Tyler, a Fort Worth native with a love for interiors, business, and making spaces feel and look their best. I earned my degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing and Management from Angelo State University, which shaped my approach to both creative work and day-to-day operations.

I began my journey with this company as a home stager and have since grown into the role of Lead Stager and Administrative Coordinator. Along with leading staging projects, I manage scheduling, client communication, and behind the scenes operations to ensure each project runs smoothly from start to finish. I enjoy blending creativity with structure and making sure every detail, both visual and logistical is handled with care.

Outside of staging, I also run my own spray tan business, where I’ve learned how much the little details matter when it comes to helping people feel confident. When I’m off the clock, you’ll usually find me walking my goldendoodle, Finn, shopping with my mom, or curled up reading a good book.

What I love most about home staging and interior design is the storytelling. Truly transforming a space so people don’t just see a home, but can truly imagine themselves in it.

Hi! My name is Reagan Krajca, and I am from Fort Worth, Texas. I’ve had a passion for design for as long as I can remember. As a child, I spent all of my birthday and Christmas money on new decor for my room, which reinforced my love for creating spaces. From a young age, I knew design would become my true passion. Growing up in Fort Worth gave me strong insight into the world of design, with Texas culture and aesthetics continuing to influence my creative perspective today.

In 2023, I chose to attend Stephen F. Austin State University after receiving a soccer scholarship. While balancing athletics and academics was a valuable experience, I ultimately decided to step away from soccer to fully focus on my education and passion for design. This decision allowed me to graduate early in 2026 with a major in interior design.

The summer before my senior year, I had the opportunity to intern at Where The Heart Is, an experience that greatly shaped my growth as a designer. In addition to strengthening my design skills, the internship taught me the importance of building meaningful relationships with clients. My goal as a designer has always been to create spaces where people feel comfortable and truly welcomed. I am incredibly grateful to continue pursuing my passion with this team and look forward to growing both alongside the company and as a designer!

Hey, I’m Jaye! I’ve been with Where The Heart Is Designs for almost a year now, and I’ve really grown into my role here. I love being part of a team that helps transform spaces, and I take pride in working hard and making sure our clients are taken care of.

When I’m not working, you can usually find me at the rodeo, hanging out with my son, or spending time with my family. Around here, I’m known as the guy who keeps things light, I always say, “I’ll tell you a joke but never a lie.”

At the end of the day, I love what I do. It’s not just moving furniture, it’s helping people feel at home, while keeping everyone smiling along the way.

My name is T’Arieas Woods (T. Woods), and I was born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas, where I still proudly call home. I grew up with one older brother and two younger sisters, and family has always been an important part of my life.

Outside of work, I enjoy riding bulls and horses, going to rodeos, hitting the gym, gaming, watching anime, and spending time with my loved ones. The Western lifestyle has shaped so much of who I am, and I carry that same spirit of grit and passion into everything I do.

I’m deeply passionate about helping people fall in love with the spaces around them and take pride in bringing energy, creativity, and hard work to every project. What I value most is being part of a great team, collaborating to create environments that are both meaningful and inspiring.
